We are back! On Saturday morning we left the south of England, and headed to the “Lake District” - a national park in the north west of England. It’s the most rugged terrain in the country, and a fantastic terrain for camping, hiking and various other outdoor pursuits.
We camped at Boot, in the middle of the Eskdale valley from Saturday until this morning. We went on several long walks in the hills - from Ravenglass on the west coast up to Hardknott Pass in the hills. It was a wonderful break - just what we needed - and while it was great to get away it was also great to get back this evening. The washing, gardening, and picking up of “normal life” starts in the morning…
